On October 6th Vision Charter Academy and Jenn Wray’s science class ae are partnering with Uproot, an organization that provides healthy foods to those with insecure nutrition through gleaning (gathering leftovers after the harvest) farms. They visited Elevation Mountain Grown Herbal Tea in Hotchkiss were invited to glean their berry patch. This means that the VCA learners group were able to pick berries that will feed those who need food in Delta County while other berries went home with our VCA families! Elevation Tea makes lovely tea using all local ingredients!
