On Friday, April 25th, several learners and their families joined us in Grand Junction for a visit to the Western Slope Botanical Gardens. We explored a variety of captivating displays featuring plants, animals, and sculptures. In the exotic plant room, we observed butterflies preparing to emerge from their cocoons, several species of turtles and tortoises, and a wide array of beautiful plant life. The gardens also featured whimsical elements like a castle, vintage train cars, old-fashioned wagons, and a peaceful pond inhabited by frogs and ducks.
