Middle School Science Team Challenge
In middle school science class, learners put both their understanding of the levels of organization of life and their teamwork skills to the test! The challenge? Start with the smallest units of life and stack the cups all the way up to a full organism—without touching the cups.
Students had to think creatively, using only string and rubber bands to build their structures. Along the way, they practiced perseverance, problem-solving, and collaboration, learning how to manage disappointment while relying on each other to succeed. It was a fun, hands-on way to see science—and teamwork—in action!
